A security analyst is responsible for supporting all security related activities for St. Jude Medical's software applications. Activities include designing, building, implementing, and supporting security roles and profiles for each person or user involved in the enterprise systems implementation."As a security analyst, my most important responsibility is to ensure our employees are given the appropriate level of access to key business systems, but also to protect important company information stored in these systems." Steve works closely with internal business teams, auditors, and system analysts to make sure this security meets user, regulatory, and legal requirements.

Steve is in a field that he believes will grow tremendousbly in the next decade. "In the next couple years, St. Jude Medical will operate on a single massive computer system, which will be the backbone of our business. Ensuring the security in that system will be critical to mitigating threats and risks from both inside and outside the company."
