Eric Fain, M.D., was promoted to President of the St. Jude Medical Cardiac Rhythm Management Division (CRMD) in July 2007. He previously served as Executive Vice President, Development and Clinical/Regulatory Affairs for CRMD since January 2005.

Dr. Fain became Senior Vice President, Clinical/Regulatory Affairs of St. Jude Medical's Cardiac Rhythm Management business in June 1998. In this position, he was responsible for all cardiac rhythm management clinical and regulatory activities worldwide. He previously held the position of Vice President, Tachycardia Product Planning and Research. Dr. Fain originally joined Ventritex, Inc. in June 1987 as Manager, Clinical Research and was Vice President, Systems Development when St. Jude Medical acquired the company in 1997.

Dr. Fain received his M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine and holds a Sc.B. degree in applied math/biology from Brown University.
