John Heinmiller became Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of St. Jude Medical, Inc. in May 2004. Mr. Heinmiller was named Vice President, Finance and CFO of St. Jude Medical in September 1998, having been acting CFO since July 1998.

Mr. Heinmiller joined St. Jude Medical in May 1998 as Vice President, Corporate Business Development. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Heinmiller was Vice President of Finance and Administration of Daig Corporation. Mr. Heinmiller was a member of the Board of Directors of Daig Corporation from 1993 until St. Jude Medical acquired Daig in 1996.

From 1991 to 1995, Mr. Heinmiller was Vice President, Finance and CFO of Lifecore Biomedical, Inc., a medical and surgical products company. From 1986 to 1991, Mr. Heinmiller was an Audit Partner at Grant Thornton, LLP. From 1975 to 1986, Mr. Heinmiller was employed by Grant Thornton, where he served a variety of clients including several companies in the medical device field.

Mr. Heinmiller holds a B.S. in business administration from The Ohio State University and is a licensed CPA.
