With seven years of experience as a Cardiac Physiologist in a hospital, Marie was looking for her next challenge at a place that inspired her. She was familiar with St. Jude Medical’s reputation and many of our products, in particular the EnSite 3D Mapping System. In fact, it was this first-hand knowledge that made St. Jude Medical the logical choice for Marie.

Today, as Product Specialist Team Leader in our Warwickshire, UK location, Marie spends the majority of her time in the field supporting EnSite Classic and EnSite Velocity cases, providing training and education for St. Jude Medical staff and customers.

She is energized and inspired by the dynamic environment, including the constant influx of new products, technology, ideas, and people. “It’s the St. Jude Medical attitude and culture, along with the fantastic product portfolio, that makes a difference. Nothing remains static here; we are changing every day, which makes it an exciting environment to work in.”

 Marie also enjoys the supportive working environment, especially her manager, who Marie finds to be a great coach and mentor. “Sine has encouraged me to become both dual skilled and a team leader, giving me the support I need but also the freedom to make my own choices and decisions.” No doubt Sine’s mentorship contributed to Marie receiving the “Best Performing Support Person” in both 2008 and 2009.

Looking back on her career, Marie wouldn’t change a thing. While a university degree may have put her on a different track, “on the job training and professional qualifications have got me to where I am and I’m proud of that.”

To those just starting out, Marie offers the advice to stick with it. She says the first six months is an intense learning curve, but worth it!
