St. Jude Medical's new Global Headquarters and AF Technology Center is designed to meet LEED certification standards, featuring a green roof with plants that contribute to storm water control and reduce solar heat gain, wood-based materials from sustainably-managed forests, strict low-VOC (volatile organic compounds) standards maintained for all interior materials, use of recycled content in materials (such as recycled tire flooring) and use of locally-sourced materials.
