Back to Rebuilding Antique Cars

After Sherrill Loftin began to experience shortness of breath and severe stomach pains, he was forced to give up his daily walks. Doctors discovered a condition called bicuspid aortic valve—which prevented his aortic valve leaflets from opening because of severe calcification—and recommended heart valve replacement surgery.

In 2005, Sherrill received St. Jude Medical's Biocor® heart valve, the company's first U.S. stented tissue valve.

Sherrill has returned to work and rebuilds antique cars in his spare time, while enjoying life with his wife, five children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild (with another on the way)!
