Still Growing Strong

Scott MacIver was just 16-months-old when he received his first St. Jude Medical pacemaker, and today, he is still growing strong.

After enduring two open-heart surgeries as a baby, Scott desperately needed a pacemaker to survive, and received St. Jude Medical's world's-smallest Microny™ pacemaker in an emergency procedure in Scotland.

Scott has grown up along with the company, and has appeared in the annual report three times (see the photo below for his first and most recent appearances). He currently has the company's Verity™ pacemaker and is an active, healthy 12-year-old boy, who excels in school and loves soccer and computer games.
