Wellness

Dental

This plan offers comprehensive coverage through a national network of preferred dental care providers. The benefits are designed to encourage important preventative care. 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)/Work Life Services

We care about our employees and recognize the importance of managing life well, both at work and at home. This program provides a free, professional and confidential service for employees and their immediate family members. Services include confidential telephone and/or face-to-face counseling, and access to information and resources for assistance with everyday life. 

Flexible spending accounts (FSAs)

FSAs are a valuable part of your benefits package. They allow you to set aside money for eligible heath care and dependent care expenses on a pretax basis.

Medical

Our plans provide medical and prescription-drug coverage through a national network of preferred providers. Each medical plan option is designed to keep you and your family healthy by providing you with benefits that promote preventative care.

Vision

Our vision plan offers comprehensive coverage and eyewear discounts through a national network of participating providers.

When you are not at work

Disability coverage

St. Jude Medical provides short-term and long-term disability coverage to employees at no cost. Disability insurance pays a percentage of your base earnings if you are unable to work due to a non-work related illness or injury. 

Holidays

We offer paid holidays to our employees each year. Additional floating holidays serve to meet the needs of our diverse employee base.

Leave of absence

We offer leaves of absence for a variety of reasons, including military, personal, bereavement and jury duty. 

Additionally, since we proudly support our military personnel, we pay a portion of an employee’s salary if he or she is on approved leave for qualified military purposes.

Life insurance

We provide basic life insurance to employees at no cost. Employees can purchase additional insurance for themselves or their qualified dependents.

Paid time off (PTO)

Employees earn time off with pay based on length of service with St. Jude Medical.

Scholarship program

We offer a scholarship program to children of our employees for full-time undergraduate study at an accredited education institution. The awards are based on a number of factors, such as academic record and honors.

Financial

Retirement Savings Plan (RSP)—401(K)

Our employees can take advantage of contributions to the RSP and gain additional contributions from the company. St. Jude Medical contributes 100 percent of the first 3 percent you contribute to the plan. You are eligible for employer matching contributions after one year of service.
