AMPLATZER™ Vascular Plug 4 (AVP 4) for low-profile embolization

Portfolio Overview

  • Advancing peripheral embolization with single device occlusion
  • Minimally invasive, implantable embolization devices uniquely designed for specific situations

UNIQUELY DESIGNED

The AMPLATZER™ Family of Vascular Plugs is a growing family of minimally invasive, implantable devices uniquely designed for specific embolization situations.

Introducing the AMPLATZER™ Vascular Plug 4

The newest design in our AMPLATZER™ Family of Vascular Plugs, the AMPLATZER™ Vascular Plug 4 (AVP 4) features a low-profile design that extends its reach to distal vasculature. Its multilayered, double-lobed design provides rapid3 embolization.

AMPLATZER™ Family of Vascular Plugs

The AMPLATZER™ Family of Vascular Plugs provides full cross-sectional vessel coverage for single-device occlusion. The plugs are designed for controlled, precise deployment and can be captured and repositioned.

Efficient and Cost-Effective

Vascular plugs are an efficient and cost-effective1,2 method of achieving peripheral embolization and have been clinically proven to improve:

  • Speed—reduction in procedure times4
  • Efficiency—reduction in materials used
  • Radiation exposure—reduction in radiation times4
  • Cost-effectiveness—reduction in procedural costs4

Transforming the Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women worldwide, with billions of dollars spent globally on its diagnosis, management and treatment.5,6 An estimated 7.3 million people worldwide die each year from coronary artery disease alone.7 Our vision is to transform the treatment of cardiovascular disease by creating cost-effective technologies that save and improve lives.
