Pacing Lead for Full-Body MRI Scans
The Tendril MRI™ lead offers unique design advantages to allow patients to undergo full-body, 1.5T MRI scans.* Now, your pacemaker patients can have access to the diagnostic benefits that MRI scans provide.
The Tendril MRI lead, when used with the Assurity MRI™ pacemaker, allows full-body, 1.5T MRI scans.
Additionally, the Tendril MRI lead features a unique, dual-filtering lead tip proven to reduce distal heating.1
Soft silicone tip design
The Tendril™ family of leads includes a soft silicone tip design for flexibility and superb handling characteristics. The soft silicone tip:
- Offers more compliance at the lead tip-endocardium interface
- Reduces tip pressure by approximately 50% over 6 F leads without a soft silicone tip**,2,3
- Increases the surface area of the lead tip to 9 F
Although the soft silicone increases the surface area, the Tendril MRI lead still fits through an 8 F introducer due to the material’s soft nature. Four pads on the silicone tip further increase the surface area of the lead tip that is in contact with the tissue.
Proven platform and unique insulation
The award-winning*** Optim™ lead insulation—a chemical copolymer that blends the best features of polyurethane and silicone—provides improved handling and increased durability.4-5
Optim™ insulation is supported by evidence from approximately 11,000 actively monitored leads, more than 27,000 cumulative years of patient data, and multiple third-party publications.4 Postmarket surveillance of these leads demonstrated that 99.2 percent of Optim insulated leads were abrasion-free after more than nine years.4
